KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ On Monday, January 16, the Education and Science Ministry announced the introduction of per capita financing mechanism in the sphere of secondary and vocational education. Also to raise availability of educational services a new mechanism of state educational savings system was developed.
Another highlight is that last year 10 Kazakhstan's higher educational institutions passed international accreditation.
International accreditation makes diplomas of the Kazakh higher institutions convertible abroad (i.e. it is to be generally recognized), the statement reads.
Besides, the country establishes a republican accreditation council and national registry of accreditation bodies.
On Tuesday, the Industry and Trade Ministry made public the indicators reflecting the progress of implementation of the Productivity 2020 program. The program launched last year groups 27 enterprises. It includes 5 financial tools such as potential assessment, acquisition of equipment, installation, attracting of foreign experts, introduction of modern management and manufacturing technologies.
On Wed Kazakh PM Karim Massimov wrote on his blog that during the global recession of 2008-2009 the country managed to preserve sustainability of its financial sector and lending rates. Currently, Kazakhstan's economy has stabilized.
The Government takes efforts today to screen Kazakhstanis from potential perturbations in economy. 56 000 people take part in the Employment 2020 program. The large-scale industrialization programme let launch 389 projects worth USD 1.8 trln resulting in 90 000 workplaces.
On Thursday the Transport and Communications Ministry held a sitting on procurement of road building materials.
The issue regarding confidence in the Government raised by Prime Minister Karim Massimov was considered at the first session of the Majilis of the Parliament of the fifth convocation held today in Astana.
Speaking on the issue, deputy Viktor Rogalev noted that over the past five years the Government headed by Karim Massimov succeeded in overcoming the negative impact of the world financial economic crisis. While many countries reduced their budgets, the Kazakh Government, executing the Kazakh President's instructions, increased salaries of public sector workers, pensions and benefits three times, fully implemented all social liabilities of the state.
The Majilisman emphasized that President Nursultan Nazarbayev highly appraises the work of the Government headed by Karim Massimov.
According to the results of the voting held on this issue, 92 Majilismen out of 105 voted for the confidence in the Government, 5 deputies - against, 8 - abstained.
Prime Minister Karim Massimov congratulated deputies on the beginning of the work of the newly-elected Majilis.
"Dear deputies! First of all, I want to congratulate you on election as deputies of the Majilis of the Parliament. I wish you success in your activities. We all have various political views. But we have a common goal as to achieve prosperity of our people," K.Massimov said.
He outlined that the Parliament and the Government "will look at the joint activity in a new light" after the Majilis gathered representatives of three parties.
