1907 - Descendant of Abylay Khan, Deputy of the II State Duma Bakhytzhan Karatayev of Uralsk region initiated discussion of agrarian and national issues and proved ineffectiveness of Stolypin's reform of resettlement of Russian and Ukrainian peasants to Kazakhstan. 

2000 - A memorial plate was installed on the house where prominent statesman Omirbek Zholdasbekov (1931-1999) lived.

2007 - A monument to The Beatles band was unveiled on Kok Tobe in Almaty.

2011 - President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on awarding Olzhas Suleimenov with Dostlug Order for the contribution to the propagation of Azerbaijani culture at the international level.

2012 - Kazakhstan's commemorative banknote with the nominal value of 10,000 tenge devoted to the 20th Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan was recognized as The Best Banknote of 2011 at the International Bank Note Society competition.

2013 - A ceremony of presenting diplomas to the first graduates of the SCO University was held in Almaty. SCO University is an innovative form of integration of the SCO member countries' universities into the global educational space which stimulates the processes of development of brand new ways of cooperation.

2013 - Kazakhstani climber Aggey Skopin became a gold medalist of the Elbrus Race at the Extreme Sports Festival. He conquered the highest peak of Europe in 2 hours 52 minutes 42 seconds.

2013 - Kazakhstan and Saint Kitts and Nevis established diplomatic relations by signing a joint communique in New York. From the Kazakh side the document was signed by Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to the UN Byrganym Aitimova. From the side of Saint Kitts and Nevis, the document was signed by Permanent Representative of this country to the UN Delano Frank Bart.

2014 - An apartment museum of famous Kazakh musician Nurgissa Tlendiyev was opened in Almaty.

2015 - Screening of Kunanbay feature film was held in Astana. The film narrates about the life of father of great Kazakh poet and philosopher Abai - Kunanbay Oskenbaiuly. 

2017 - Abilmanssur Batyrgali, 17yo karateka from Atyrau, became champion of Asia in 68lg weight category. More than 700 athletes from various countries participated in the championships.

2018 - Kazakhstan released a book about Heydar Aliyev in the Kazakh language. The foreword was written by First President of the country Nursultan Nazarbayev. The book consists of seven chapters and contains unique materials about AzerbaIjani leader.
